The Bula Blog
News, announcements, recognition and training for Bulavita Ambassadors.
We're excited to introduce our new recognition article series, MANA (a Fijian description of power and achievement). Each article features an interview with an Ambassador who has achieved the rank of Sapphire or higher.
Her story is simply inspiring. New Hampshire’s Bernadette Trafton didn’t realize she was a natural born entrepreneur until she was tested by life. As a struggling and newly single mother to Rachel, Alexa and Sebastian, working part time for a real estate investors association, and selling her own home-made jams at a local farmer’s market, Bernadette realized that she wanted to provide a better life for her family. It took a moment of clarity to get the winds of change blowing. Bernadette bravely embarked on a new life voyage and her story proves that by embracing the unexpected, great success can be achieved. If you are reading my Wakaya Perfection story, it is because someone shared this business opportunity with you, I urge you to look closer. I didn’t think much about Network Marketing until I met Annie Trajlinek over 10 years ago. Annie is a bright and energetic person with an infectious personality. She came into my life when I was working at the Real Estate Investment Association where I also worked with several of the investors individually. She told me about a Network Marketing business opportunity but it didn’t spark my interest. She sent me an email after and it was the sentence at the bottom of her email that caught my attention. It read: “How many bonus centers do you have?” I didn’t even know if I would be good at selling, but I immediately picked up the phone, rang Annie and asked, “If a bonus center means I can make more money, where do I sign up?” That is the moment I changed my life.
I began selling Financial Services and then Health Products with Annie mentoring me along the way. Her happy, outgoing attitude made it feel less like work and more like fun. I experienced incredible success in a very short time by following Annie’s advice of “Keep it simple and fun”. I began involving my family, my Mother first and then my Brother. Along the way I met more mentors from Mike Randolph and Todd Smith to Andre Vaughn. I had never worked with such positive team members and I contribute a good portion of my success to their motivation and support. I achieved financial independence and enough success that when my mother grew ill and sadly passed, I was able to take a full year and a half off of work to care for her, while still receiving my commission checks during the entire time. When someone doesn’t believe in the power of our Industry, I share this story, as I am a prime example of reaching success and changing my life for the better.
When I first was introduced to Wakaya Perfection, I knew it was special. I had already been searching for a new and exciting income opportunity, something new to be passionate about and a company with good people, integrity, strong leadership and a focused mission. When I discovered the leaders involved and the incredible wellness mission with its groundbreaking compensation plan, I knew I had to be a part of the team. I was inspired that it was founded by the same man who founded FIJI Water and that the products are hand-cultivated on his very own private island of Wakaya in Fiji. I also discovered that Wakaya Perfection had been already been retailed at Harrods of London, Saks Fifth Avenue and had been selected by Oprah Winfrey twice as her “Favorite Thing.” One of the hardest parts about selling is building trust for the products you sell and Wakaya Perfection already was a tried, true and trusted brand. I knew it would make my job as their Ambassador so much simpler!
Personally, I was already in search of products that offered a simple way to lead a healthier lifestyle. Wakaya Perfection offers exactly that and I love the simplicity of the products because it fit right into my focus of keeping it simple. The products influenced me for two reasons, first they are of exceptional quality with a focus on purity, so no pesticides or junk, and they are truly the best. Second, was the simplicity of the products, I don’t have to teach anyone how to use ginger and turmeric or eat amazing ginger popcorn and cookies, or put a clay masque on or to use the Bula bottle to drink better tasting water, everything is pure and simple.
It took me all of 30-days to earn the Sapphire Level Ambassadorship for Wakaya Perfection, because my approach is simple. I am now making even more than I was before—and if my team and I stay focused on building business and marketing our amazing products, my income should do nothing but go up! I network to meet new people, I join groups such as a hiking group because I will find healthy people as members, I pick up the phone and get back in touch with people I have lost touch with over the years. Meeting an old friend for coffee doesn’t need to be a “sales pitch”, it’s a simple way to reconnect and share what is going on in our lives, new job included. I now have my own team of Ambassadors and it’s my top priority to help them succeed. We host daily calls, weekly meetings and we create fun challenges for each other. We are in the pre-launch phase and now is the best time to join. I always think about those people who say “I wish I had gotten in on Google in the beginning” or “I wish I had bought a house in a certain area at that time”. The same thing is happening now with Wakaya Perfection.
My greatest goal in life has been to provide a wonderful life for my children. I teach them to lead by example and that the greatest reward in life is to help others reach their goals and by doing so, you reach your own. My son Sebastian is almost 12 and we live in a quiet neighborhood in Derry, NH. My daughter Alexa is 23 and is serving our country in the Navy and also taking care of my beautiful grandson William Oliver. My foster daughter Rachel (who is now in her 30’s) lives in AZ with her 3 children Isaiah, Jovaun and Nyreiah. We have 3 dogs that can get pretty rambunctious. My brother Steve, his wife Dana and my nephew Zachary live in the other half of my duplex and we are all about FAMILY!
I’d like to say Vinaka to my family for being there for me to help when I am going at full steam, Mike Randolph and the corporate team for being Reps who are building a company for Reps, my sponsor Annie Trajlinek and our team leader Andre Vaughn and most importantly I want to thank my team. I am honored to be surrounded by such an amazing, caring, motivated and focused group of team members.
Vinaka and thank you for sharing your incredible story Bernadette! We look forward to seeing where your Wakaya Perfection business brings you next!
